Thanks to everyone for a great 2013!

Opinions Editorials

Dear   Best Readers Ever,

2013 has been a fantastic year for OP&L! We covered billions (okay, maybe only millions) of relevant local issues – from pie to planning, shelter to shopping, butchering to biking, sea slugs to strikes. We also consistently brought you the fun with horoscopes, comics, adventures, and our ginormous events calendar.

It is our intent – nay, our very purpose! – to find and disseminate information about this community in ways that educate, entertain, challenge and inspire you. We want you to come away from each issue of OP&L with new ideas, a deeper understanding of local issues, and a greater appreciation for the awesomeness of Oly. And maybe even an increased boldness that moves you to participate more actively in all things local (we can dream, right?).

Looking back, despite the occasional screwup, we’re proud of the job we did this year. And we’re looking forward to doing it again next year.

But we can’t do it without your help. You may think of yourself as a passive consumer of this product, but in fact you’re as vital to this paper as eaters are to a restaurant!

So… Read. Think. Talk. Repeat as necessary.Write us a letter sometime. When there are things in the community you think we should know about, send us an email.

Here’s to another awesome year in 2014. We’ll see you again in January!

Love, OP&L
