Football
The Washington Cavaliers semi-pro football team will be playing their next home game on Saturday, June 8, at Tumwater High School. The Cavaliers will take on the Pierce County Bengals in a neighboring county showdown. The game starts at 5 PM and admission is only $5. Those fans who are under 10 or over 65 will get in for free. The Cavaliers won their first regular season game of the season on May 18, with a 23-18 victory over the Puyallup Nation Kings. For those inclined to travel, an away game versus the Mt. Hood Eruption is scheduled for June 1 at Mt. Hood Community College.
Roller Derby
The Oly Rollers premier derby squad, the Cosa Nostra Donnas will be hosting an international rink-race showdown on June 9th at Skateland in Olympia. The Cosa Nostra Donnas will face off against a group of rollers from across the big pond, and off the soot stained streets of London. Tickets are $12, and children 8 years old and under get in for free. Doors open at 6 PM with the elbows and ball bearing sparks set to fly at 6:30 PM. God save the Queens.
