New Biz Oly: Beyond Medicine

Partners in healing — Evan Hirsch, MD, Stacy Hirsch, MES, and Tom Griffith, NS — shared a dream. That dream has become an integrative setting wherein nine individually-owned health practices come together, fostering collaborative education between practitioners, patients and community to fully realize health and potential.

Evan, Stacy and Tom own the spacious offices that, as Evan recalls, “allowed us to expand…fast!”

Evan, graduate of University of Toledo Medical School, widened his studies beyond conventional allopathics to include Reiki, Yoga, Acupuncture, and Hypnosis, joining the American Holistic Medical Association, using his combined new skills successfully in his Family Medicine Residency at St. Peter Hospital. “I practice functional medicine along with biochemical and physiotheraputic treatments, deciding with patients what works best,” says Evan. “I want people’s ailments to be gone, not just medically adjusted! We take insurance, and patients become members of the practice for $20 a month, allowing for longer appointment times. I knew that to do medicine as I wanted to, I’d have to have my own practice!”

Partner Tom Griffith, Naturopath, whose focus is primary care, graduated from The National College of Naturopathic Medicine with a goal of finding sensible, fitting solutions for health problems. “I use science, medicine, biochemical mechanisms, enzymes, and natural compounds, treat digestive ailments, skin problems and the like, removing obstacles to healing the natural way,” says Tom, who has been in practice for 6 years.

The versatile Clinic Coordinator is Stacy Hirsch, 1996 MES graduate of Evergreen with a background in public health. “I do clinic graphics, oversee logistics, run Worksite Wellness and blog Two the Root, connecting people to real food in collaboration with Rising River, Kirsop, and August Farms. I offer health coaching coinciding with other practices here. We support Walk Olympia, and our Open House in March is the Foodie Event, with music and local art!”
